Framing

About our Framing

Materials

Our frames boast premium solid wood mouldings, elegantly finished with a smooth satin or natural grain paint. Each frame arrives ready to adorn your walls, equipped with polycord and D-rings for hassle-free hanging. Featuring Clarity+ Acrylic glazing, our frames shield your artwork from harmful sunlight while offering an unparalleled clarity of view. These materials safeguard your artwork, preserving its beauty for years to come.

Our Craftmanship

Crafted with meticulous care in the UK, our frames are bespoke creations tailored to your specifications. Multiple framers lend their expertise to each stage of production, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship throughout. Rigorous quality checks ensure that each frame meets our exacting standards before it graces your wall. From the selection of premium materials to the precision of assembly, our frames exemplify the artistry and dedication that define our craft.

Our Styles

Float

The artwork is raised off the backing and ‘floats’ in a box frame. This displays the artwork’s edge and is the most popular contemporary framing style.

Trapped

The artwork is framed to the edge and sits under the rebate of the box frame. Spacers create depth between the glazing and the artwork for a premium look.

Window

A white mount overlaps the edge of the print, creating a clean border around the artwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does framing take?

Due to the current framing demand, orders within the UK can take up to 21 working days to arrive. Please contact us at support@electricgallery.co.uk for lead times and charges regarding International Shipping on framed artworks.

How are framed works packed and shipped?

Every piece is carefully packaged in a bespoke box, guaranteeing its safety from any harm during transit. We entrust reputable couriers with the delivery of our artworks, employing a next-day delivery service for prompt arrival.

How do I hang my framed work?

All frames are supplied ready to hang, complete with polycord and D-rings. Use a measuring tape and level to mark the precise spots where you'll place the screws or anchors. Ensure the marks are level and appropriately spaced to match the D-rings on the back of the frame. Using a drill and appropriate drill bit, carefully create pilot holes at the marked locations on the wall. If drilling into drywall, use wall anchors to provide extra support. Lift the framed artwork and carefully align the D-rings with the screws or anchors on the wall. Gently lower the artwork onto the screws, ensuring it hangs securely.
