Spotlight on Ricky Byrne – East London Screen Printer & Fine Artist
We’re excited to introduce our latest featured artist, Ricky Byrne! Ricky is a screen printer and visual artist based in the East End of London.
Ricky’s work is a striking blend of abstract compositions, colour experiments, and technical precision, drawing on over 15 years of experience as a commercial fine art screen printer under his studio name, Mesh & Blade.

Ricky Byrne’s Unique Approach to Printmaking
What makes Ricky’s art so compelling is his ability to merge in-depth printmaking knowledge with a freeform, painterly approach. He describes his practice as “generously, curated chaos” — embracing the unexpected results of colour blending, reductionist shapes, and movement to create pieces that feel alive and spontaneous.

While screen printing is at the heart of his process, Ricky also explores digital art and advanced print techniques, always pushing the boundaries of how printmaking can feel more human, expressive, and imaginative. His work doesn’t just replicate — it invites you in, challenges expectations, and completes spaces with energy and aesthetic balance.
New Art Drop: The Ricky Byrne Collection
This week, we’re proud to launch a new collection of Ricky Byrne’s work, available exclusively through Electric Gallery. Whether you’re drawn to the bold abstractions or the subtler rhythm of his colour studies, these prints embody Ricky’s vision: combining the rigour of fine art screen printing with the joy of randomness.
