Takako Copeland

Originally from Japan, Takako Copeland is a print maker and illustrator based in London. Copeland studied graphic design but has always had a strong interest in print making. Over the past 3 years she has been developing a range of letterpress greeting cards, printing each card with time and care using traditional printing press methods. Her card designs feature distinctive colour combinations with a tactile hand finished feel in which she captures her fascination in repeat patterns with small lino blocks getting lost in the never-ending possibilities. Drawn to, in particular, everyday domestic objects that capture and tell so much about the owners. Copeland's and wall art prints and paper goods are currently sold in exclusive shops and galleries around the world.
