Sara Pope
Sara Pope is known primarily for her high-gloss pictures of lips covered in vivid lipstick. She emerged from Leeds University with a degree in mathematics but instead of the expected career path, worked as a magazine designer before becoming a fine artist.
She creates her art prints from live models, asking them to think of various emotions as she captures them. Her wall art is partly a comment on the beauty images used in advertising.
A picture she painted of The Pope hangs in The Vatican gallery. She is the first British female artist to be included in the collection for over 70 years.
