Gary Stranger

The UK based artist Gary Stranger first started out on the art scene in the 90s writing graffiti, and since then has become well known for mixing the street medium with the more refined world of typography.

He is best known for his clean, minimal lines which are often rendered in three dimensions. His painting and prints largely consist of a single word or phrase often found in derelict spaces, which is very much a conscious move by the artist as he wants his words to have the room to breathe.

His works can be spotted on various surfaces and walls worldwide including Fendi's roof as part of a 2018 project which saw a circular artwork featuring the word ‘Future’ painted in six languages on the roof of the fashion house’s Roman headquarters.
