Dan Hillier is a British artist who works out of a studio and gallery in Walthamstow, East London.
He produces intricate and distinctive work by collaging and manipulating elements of 19th century wood and steel engravings together then adding in his own line work, and producing those as screen prints and giclee prints. He will often apply gold leaf by hand to his finished prints, and then draw forms and patterns onto the gold.
Dan has held exhibitions across the world, in Paris, Turin and Beijing amongst other cities. He says: “I create work that reflects my love of the source material I work from, the natural world and various ancient mystery traditions”
