D*Face

D*Face, also known as Dean Stockton, is a British contemporary artist whose work combines street art, Pop Art and graphic illustration with dark humour and social commentary. Beginning with hand-drawn characters and stickers placed around London, his practice developed to include posters, altered banknotes, billboard interventions, murals, paintings, sculptures and limited-edition prints.

Drawing on American comics, advertising and popular culture, D*Face creates bold, instantly recognisable images that explore love, mortality, fame and consumerism. Beneath their vivid colours and nostalgic appearance, his works often reveal darker ideas, challenging the idealised images of beauty, happiness and success presented by modern media.
