What is the Own Art scheme?

At Electric Gallery we believe art should be accessible to everyone. As a member of the Own Art Scheme (backed by Arts Council England), we offer a 0% finance option to our UK customers, for most of the artworks we sell.

With Own Art you can spread the cost of the art you love, over 10 months. You can choose to finance all or just part of your purchase and multiple works can be bought with one loan. You don’t have to pay a deposit and - best of all - you can take your art home with you straight away!

Once you’ve found the artwork that you want to buy, just let us know that you’d like to apply for an Own Art loan to finance your purchase. All you will need is proof of residence and signature (for example, a driving license). The application process typically takes around 10 minutes.

Backed by Art Council England
Own Art is a fantastic scheme backed by Art Council England, with 0% finance loans provided by Hitachi Capital Finance. Many of the leading art galleries in Britain are members of the scheme.

Your Own Art Options
If the total value of your Own Art eligible artworks at checkout is between £100 and £25,000, you'll be offered the option to apply for a 0% finance loan through Hitachi Capital Finance and spread the cost over 10 months.

To apply, simply complete the application process at checkout or call us and we'll arrange your finance application for you. Just phone 020 8064 1887 or send an email to

About the Artist – Charlie Haydn Taylor

A vibrant undertaking of some of society’s most pressing issues, the work of Haydn Taylor uses the intimacy of home interior’s to discuss both personal human dilemmas as well as broader issues ranging from government surveillance to the effect of mental health on individual behaviour.
A modernisation of the classic British pop art of the 1960’s, Haydn Taylor utilises key themes from well known artworks to relate back to the central idea of each piece.
By combining the recognisable domestic interiors with his own bold, block colours, Haydn Taylor has created his own world where the pre-generational figures exist in such a way as to comment on the negative progression that has formed in parts of society, also creating a striking visual paradox.
Having graduated from Goldsmiths University in 2018, Haydn Taylor has since exhibited in influential art cities from London to Florence and has picked up representation from a handful of galleries in the UK as well as Singapore. He is also a prominent figure in the contemporary art scene on the island of Jersey, where he was born.
Previous collaborations include creating album artwork for singer, songwriter Louis III, whose song ‘Anywhere’ with DJ duo Sigma has over 70 million listens. He was also 1 of 5 winners of the unsigned prize for illustration run by Bartle Bogle Hegarty in 2020.
