About the Artist – David Shrigley (Gifts)

David Shrigley is a British artist and illustrator best known for his darkly humorous cartoons. His distinctive drawings conjure up ironic comments on everyday situations and human interactions, usually in a deadpan style.

His work has been exhibited worldwide, including solo shows in San Francisco, Copenhagen, Los Angeles and Glasgow. In 2013, he was nominated for the prestigious Turner Prize and in 2016 his seven-foot high "Really Good" thumbs up sculpture was unveiled on Trafalgar Square's fourth plinth. As we know from experience at the Electric Gallery his iconic original works and limited edition prints always sell out within minutes.

Shrigley's latest venture is creating cards, mugs, coasters, notebooks and other artistic gifts and products for the home. Electric Gallery is delighted to now sell a limited number of items from his latest collection including water bottles, postcard packs and pencil sets.
