Tracey Emin

A creative giant of the 90s, Emin’s most famous works are the installations My Bed and Everyone I have Ever Slept With 1963-1995. My Bed – the unmade bed and detritus representing a period of emotional chaos and Everyone… a tent embroidered with 102names, both are, in fact, just small parts of an incredibly varied career.

Tracey Emin inadvertently started an art movement; Stuckism, when she told her then partner figurative artist Billy Childish, his paintings were stuck. He and like-minded painters formed Stuckism in response.

She rose to popular fame when she walked out of a live TV discussion about the Turner Prize in 1997, having allegedly enjoyed several drinks beforehand.
